Cloud POS payments · Zimbabwe
Card payments that go straight to your till
Revoluno Cloud connects your point-of-sale system to a card terminal over the internet. The till sends the amount, the customer taps or inserts their card, and the sale closes on its own, at every counter in your business.
- USD and ZWG
- Chip, tap and swipe
- Sunmi and Nexgo terminals
- Support from Harare
What is cloud POS?
Your till and your card terminal, working as one
A point of sale (POS) system is where you ring up a sale. In most shops the card machine sits beside it, on its own: the cashier reads the total off the till and types it into the terminal by hand.
With cloud POS, the till and the terminal are linked through the Revoluno Cloud. When the cashier presses “card”, the amount appears on the terminal by itself. When the customer pays, the till knows straight away whether the payment was approved, and closes the sale.
- No cables or Bluetooth: the terminal only needs Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Move a terminal to any table, lane or pump without setting anything up again.
- One till system can drive as many terminals as you need.
Why businesses choose Revoluno Cloud
Faster queues, fewer mistakes, and a cash-up that matches the card slips.
No more keying in amounts
The till sends the exact total to the card terminal. No typing it twice, no short or over-charged customers, no slips that do not match the till.
A terminal at every counter
Put a terminal at every lane, table, pump or delivery bike. Each one is linked to your till over the internet, with no cables or Bluetooth pairing.
Keep the till you have
Revoluno connects to the POS software you already use. Your POS provider adds the connection once, and every branch gets it.
USD and ZWG
Take US dollars and Zimbabwe Gold on the same terminal. Every payment carries its own currency.
Card data stays on the terminal
Cards are read and authorised on the terminal. Your till only sees the result and a masked card number.
See every payment live
Your team signs in to the Revoluno console to watch payments as they happen, check a terminal is online and send a test payment.
How it works
- 1
The till sends the amount
The cashier chooses card payment. The till sends the total to the terminal at that counter through the Revoluno Cloud.
- 2
The customer pays
The terminal shows the amount within seconds. The customer taps, inserts or swipes their card, or pays with their phone.
- 3
The sale closes itself
The till gets the result straight away, with the approval code and masked card number, and prints the receipt.
Made for businesses in Zimbabwe
- Restaurants and cafés. Send the bill to a terminal at the table or the counter, straight from the kitchen or bar system.
- Shops and supermarkets. Drive the terminals at every lane from one till system, in one branch or many.
- Pharmacies, fuel and hospitality. Close the sale in the system that already owns it: the dispensary, forecourt or property system.
- POS software providers. Offer integrated card payments to every customer without writing a driver for each terminal model.
For POS developers
One API call from your till to the terminal
Plain JSON over HTTPS, so any till can do it: Windows, Linux, Android, iOS or a web app. Send the amount to a terminal and get the result by signed webhook. No SDK and no card data in your software.
- Any till, any language
- No card data in your software
- Many terminals per till
- Signed webhooks with retries
// Push a payment to the terminal at counter 1
POST /v0.1/merchants/M67SEKWP/readers/rdr_6s3n…/checkout
{
"total_amount": { "currency": "USD", "minor_unit": 2, "value": 1500 },
"foreign_transaction_id": "SALE-000123"
}
// …the customer taps their card. Your webhook receives:
{ "status": "successful", "outcome": "APPROVED",
"auth_code": "A1B2C3", "foreign_transaction_id": "SALE-000123" }

Frequently asked questions
What is a point of sale (POS) system?
A point of sale system is where a sale is completed: the till software that rings up items, adds up the total and records how the customer paid, together with the hardware around it, such as the screen, receipt printer, barcode scanner and card terminal.
What is cloud POS?
With a cloud POS, the till and the card terminal talk to each other over the internet instead of a cable or Bluetooth. The till sends the amount to the Revoluno Cloud, the terminal at the counter shows it, the customer taps or inserts their card, and the result goes straight back to the till. The cashier never types the amount twice.
What does a POS system do for my business?
It records every sale, takes payment in cash, card or mobile, prints or sends receipts, tracks stock and shows you what sold and when. Connecting the card terminal to the till closes the gap where most mistakes happen: amounts keyed in wrong, sales marked paid that were not, and card slips that do not match the till at the end of the day.
What makes a good POS system?
It is quick at the counter, it does not lose sales when the network is slow, it takes the cards and currencies your customers use, it keeps card data away from your software, and it is backed by people you can call when something goes wrong. Revoluno is based in Harare and supports USD and ZWG on every terminal.
How much does a cloud POS cost?
It depends on how many terminals you need and how many payments you take. Request a demo and we will recommend a setup and send you a quote for your business.
Can I keep the till software I already use?
Yes. Most till and POS systems can be connected; your POS provider adds the connection using our API, or we put you in touch with a provider that already supports Revoluno.
What is a cloud terminal API?
It lets your till start a card payment on a payment terminal over the internet instead of a cable or Bluetooth. Your till sends the amount to the API, the terminal picks it up, the customer pays, and the result comes back to your till by webhook.
Which terminals does the Revoluno Cloud API support?
Sunmi terminals running the Revoluno app and Nexgo terminals running the Revoluno switch app, both in cloud mode.
Which currencies can I charge?
US dollars (USD) and Zimbabwe Gold (ZWG). Amounts are sent in cents: 1500 is 15.00.
Does my till software handle card data?
No. The card is read and authorised on the terminal. Your till only sends the amount and receives the result: approved or declined, the masked card number, the authorisation code and the reference number.
Do I need an SDK?
No. It is a plain JSON over HTTPS API, so any language or platform that can make an HTTPS request works: C#, Java, Python, PHP, Node.js, Delphi, or a web app backend.
How do I get access?
Revoluno onboards your business and gives you a console login. In the console you create an API key, register your terminals by serial number and set your webhook URL.
